Showing a horse or pony in a halter or showmanship class at any
HORSE SHOW will count toward time. At a DCHA
Horse

DCHA TRAIL RIDING AWARDS PROGRAM
GUIDELINES AND
RULES
1.
Open to all riders from ages 16 and upward.
2.
Trail riding is defined as being in the saddle, on the equine, any
style of riding is acceptable, on any type or location of trail.
3.
DCHA sponsored trail rides will count as double hours.
4.
Rider does not have to ride the same horse on each trial ride.
5.
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
place.
First Place:
“Challenge Trophy”-First rider (not horse) to win
the trophy 3
times (does not have to be 3 consecutive years) will retire and keep the
trophy. Until the trophy is retired the yearly winner will keep trophy for
one year and award it to the next winner. Winners names and year won will
be engraved on individual plaques on the trophy.
Second and Third
places will receive trophies which will be kept by the winner.
The rider who
retires the trophy will be ineligible to compete for the next “Challenge
Trophy” for a period of one trail riding year.
