DCHA/REINS Youth Program      

Calling All Youth!...
Our next meeting of the Jr. Horsemen group (Ages 18 and under) will be on March 6th from 1-3pm at Klynt and Gayle’s farm, 1129 Ruff Leonard Rd. Lexington, NC 27295.  Krysta Essic and AJ Everhart would like to get our DCHA/REINS Youth Program started for 2010. Everyone participating must have a membership with a waiver signed by their guardian. All youth can be under a family membership, youth individual, or 4H. These must be current for 2010.   We’ve got a good group so far and if you have a child who would be interested contact Gayle at 764-2277.  Also, all the Jr. Horsemen need to let Gayle know if you are coming to the meeting. We have a lot of good ideas on what we want to cover at each meeting but we also welcome your suggestions as well. Contact Krysta, AJ, Gayle or Marie.

DCHA KIDS SADDLE TIME AWARDS PROGRAM
NOVEMBER, 2009 TO NOVEMBER, 2010

GUIDELINES AND RULES:

1.       Age up to 15

2.     Any time spent actually riding* may be logged

• Lessons
• Practice in a ring
• Trail Riding
• Horse Shows
• Games on horseback/pony
• 4-H Riding Activities
• DCHA Horse Show earns DOUBLE TIME
• DCHA Trail Ride earns DOUBLE TIME

3.     Must be a good sport at all times

4.     Trophy Awarded to 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place at December DCHA Christmas Party.

  *Riding is defined as:  Being on the horse/pony riding in a saddle or bareback.

Exception:  Showing a horse or pony in a halter or showmanship class at any HORSE SHOW  will count toward time.  At a DCHA Horse  Show the time may be doubled.
